Phar North is about promoting a passion for riding and terrain. We like to think of ourselves as Dark Green in thought; above the hype but dedicated to building a responsible label. Our philosophy is simple, we love to get outside and push boundaries, why not return the favor and wear clothing that will keep us all playing in the future.
4FRNT is a project started to form leadership within the ski community. It began in 2002; during a period when Freeskiing was becoming established yet the products on the market struggled for direction. We set out to assemble a company that embraced the talent and knowledge of professional skiers. The mission was to attract the sports' best riders, provide a platform for them to design signature products and by result, become leaders in the sport and progress the state of Freeskiing. Entering our ninth year, we have matured in our design for both signature and general 4FRNT branded products yet remain committed to our core values and our enduring commitment to our mission statement.
When the idea of ON3P Skis was born in April of 2006, I was finishing up my spring finals as a sophomore at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. Somewhat disappointed with a recently-received pair of custom skis, I began kicking around the idea of trying to start making skis myself. After a bit of research and discussions with other skiers I trusted, I knew two things: it was going to take a lot of time and a lot of money to produce skis that would truly make me happy. Even so, the idea of getting to use skis that I designed and produced was just too alluring to ignore.
While Moment is growing, it’s the constants that make us happy. We still design with the future of skiing in mind. We still use 95% domestically sourced ingredients and FSC-certified wood cores. We still party out of bounds. And we still make every single pair by hand, right here in Reno. While you might see more square tips around than you did a year ago, rest assured: every Moment customer has been pre-screened for radness, just like you. And just like you, we’re still in it for the stoke, not the scrilla. The big-hair babes, gold watches and movie deals? That’s just for decoration.
